Finding Menu IQ™
You can find Menu IQ across all devices:
- Mobile & Tablet:
Tap Menu, then select Menu IQ under My Business.
- Desktop:
Select Menu IQ from the My Business dropdown.

Recipes form the foundation of your operation—supporting prep, batches and menu analysis.
AI: Smart Upload
Menu IQ’s new AI‑powered Smart Upload allows users to upload a photo of a recipe.
AI automatically:
- Extracts ingredients
- Matches them to US Foods products
- Applies measurements and quantities
Users can then review and adjust as needed—saving hours of manual entry.

Menu Items show operators the true cost of what they serve—and the profitability of each dish.
Creating Menu Items
Menu item creation mirrors recipe creation, with additional financial indicators displayed at the top:
- Gross Profit
- Food Cost Percentage
As users adjust ingredients, portion sizes or prices, these values update in real time.
Food Cost Targeting
Users can:
Use a sliding scale to set their target food cost
Auto‑calculate theoretical menu prices based on ideal cost percentages

Recipe Migration from Menu Profit Pro
Current MPP users can perform a one-time data migration to transfer their existing recipes and menu items into Menu IQ.
A banner will appear at the top of the page prompting users to transfer their data.
This process can only be completed once, so users may wish to review MPP content before migrating.
